Fox News Tucker Carlson sham Jan 6 committee coverage June 2022, Tucker Carlson: "propaganda.", "It's deranged, and we're not playing along…. They are lying."
It appears that Tucker Carlson has backed off of showing more revealing videos from the sham Jan 6 committee.
I had written off Fox years ago but in fairness to them:
From Newsweek June 10, 2022.
“How Fox News Covered the First Jan. 6 Hearing
The House select committee probing the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol held its first prime-time hearing Thursday evening, and while most major television channels broadcasted the panel's findings, Fox News relegated coverage to secondary outlets as the channel's hosts ripped into the committee.
"Democrats and liberals, they've been flopping in prime-time television for years. It's always the same, right?" Fox News host Laura Ingraham said on The Ingraham Angle, slamming the committee's hearing as a "flop," "ludicrous," and a "snooze fest."
"It's misleading information, vicious innuendo, attempts to connect the dots that never quite pay off. That drumbeat, constant drumbeat of demonization and distraction. It's neither entertaining nor edifying," she told her viewers.”
“Meanwhile, Fox host Tucker Carlson accused television channels that aired the committee's televised public hearing of broadcasting "propaganda."
"It's deranged, and we're not playing along. This is the only hour on an American news channel that will not be carrying their propaganda live. They are lying."
"THE JANUARY 6TH 'SHOW TRIAL' IS UNDERWAY," a banner on Carlson's screen read at one point during Tucker Carlson Tonight.
Carlson and Hannity in their respective hour-long shows invited guests who repeated unsubstantiated claims surrounding the riot at the U.S. Capitol. The January 6 attack that saw a mob of Trump supporters storming the Capitol was a "forgettably minor" incident of violence, said Carlson, describing the committee's hearing as a "moral lecture."
The Fox News host also claimed "not a single person in the crowd that day was found to be carrying a firearm," despite court papers showing otherwise. Hannity called the panel a "sham committee," while pushing unsubstantiated claims that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi turned down Trump's request to have 10,000 National Guard troops at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.”
