Dr. Paul Offit was interviewed on NPR July 6, 2022.
In the interview Dr. Offit states from data for the past 2 years he was given for ages under 5:
Approx. 45,000 hospitalizations.
Approx. 10,000 ICU admissions.
Little over 400 deaths.

The following data comes straight from the CDC and a catchment area that represents 10% of the US population. Therefore all of the data will be multiplied by 10.
The period of time is nearly 2 years and runs from March 1, 2020 to January 31, 2022.
It is for ages 0 to 4.
25,620 hospitalizations.
6,240 ICU admissions.
160 deaths.
Where is Dr. Paul Offit getting his data from?
Justification for vaccinating ages under 5.
Let’s assume for the moment that Dr. Offit’s death number of 400 is correct.
That gives us approx. 200 per year.
Examining recent history for flu hospitalizations for ages 0 – 17 we find:

Conclusion
Flu deaths and hospitalizations for ages 0 to 4 have been worse and no one is mandating flu shots.
